個人簡介
Cheung is a freelance flautist, piccolo player, and teacher based between Hong Kong and the UK. She completed a Master of Music Performance with Merit in 2024 and an Artist Diploma with Distinction in 2025 at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Described by the multi-faceted flautist and actress Sarah Bennington as “a skilful, refined, and elegant musician”, she is known among her peers for her sweet voice on the flute and pristine piccolo playing. Her playing oozes a laser-like focus to details and exudes authenticity through connecting music with her imagination. Yaudia's diligent musicianship and versatility has led to her success as a highly sought after artist with repertoire under her belt that spans the flute family found in the major symphonic works of Tchaikovsky, Mahler, and Elgar, up to large-scale arrangements of gaming music in a variety of orchestral settings. Currently studying with the HK Phil's own celebrated principal flautist Megan Sterling, Yaudia has additionally collaborated with Sarah Bennington, Jonathan Burgess, Matthew Featherstone, Pamela Stahel, Lindsey Ellis, and Carmen Ma. Aside from her orchestral expertise, Yaudia collaborates often with colleagues in a veritable bevy of solo and chamber music styles and settings, ranging from pillars of the classical repertoire and composers such as Kuhlau and Jolivet to the lesser known contemporary works such as those of the Dutch/American Herman Beeftink. In addition to performing, Yaudia is a dedicated teacher for toddlers to teenagers in both solo and ensemble settings in nurturing their curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of music.
