Hin LO is an active violinist from Hong Kong. He appeared in Intermusic Festival Eastern Music Festival, Inter-harmony music Festival(Germany session), and learnt with the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (NTSO)’s concert master Mr. Ray Chang. Where he was appointed as assistant violin principal. He got his Bachelor Degree in Music at Hong Kong Baptist University majoring in Violin Performance, studying under accomplished violinist Mr. Anders Hui and Dr. Patrick Yim. During his days in University he served as concertmaster and also performed solo concerto with the university orchestra. Even though LO is classically trained, he has always been eager to get involve in different genres. He had performed in various live pop concerts as violinist, and even formed his own band during his days in college. This was an early experience to combine violin playing with pop elements.

Lo Kwok Hin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music (Violin Performance) from Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) in 2020. His technical foundation and musicality were shaped by a lineage of prestigious instructors and world-class pedagogues, including: • Principal Teachers: Mr. Anders Hui, Dr. Patrick Yim, Mr. Patrick Sit, Ivan Chan, and Zhao Yingna. • Masterclasses: He has refined his craft in masterclasses led by Professor Joel Smirnoff (Juilliard School) and the world-renowned soloist Anne Akiko Meyers. • International Training: Most recently, he attended the Inter-harmony Music Festival in Germany, studying under Mr. Ray Chang, Concertmaster of the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (NTSO).

Hong Kong: Served as Co-Concertmaster and Second Violin Principal. During his university tenure, he was also selected to perform as a soloist in a concerto with the university orchestra. • Eastern Music Festival (USA): In 2018, Lo was awarded a scholarship to attend the festival, where he served as First Associate Concertmaster and Second Violin Principal under the baton of Grant Cooper. • Intermusic Festival: Appointed as Assistant Violin Principal. Throughout his career, Lo has shared the stage with a diverse array of legendary artists, including Robert Blocker, Melvyn Tan, Anne Akiko Meyers, Wu Man, and Liping Zhang. Versatility & Contemporary Projects While rooted in the classical tradition, Lo is an avid explorer of diverse musical languages. He has a long-standing passion for integrating violin playing with pop music: • Pop & Live Sessions: An active performer in the pop circuit, Lo has appeared in numerous live concerts as a session violinist. • Band Formation: During his college years, he formed his own band, serving as an early laboratory for his experiments in blending classical technique with pop elements—a hallmark of his current artistic identity. Pedagogy & Teaching With a teaching career that began prior to his undergraduate studies, Lo possesses 10 years of experience in music education. He is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of string players, combining his rigorous classical training with a modern, adaptable approach to help students find their own musical voice.
